That tour Glide looks sooo much better than the new Road Glides.

With a near 100hp S&S, it'll keep up with most of the new Glides, too. Shakes more, though... but nobody will say it sounds like a sewing machine.

Good luck indeed! Hope Texas doesn't suffer the feelings I had some years ago. I came across a bike of mine, several years after I sold it. It had been turned into a rat bike FFS.....

When I got my bike it was bone stock.
He kept it that way for 100k miles and 14 years.

I totally understand that sentiment.

One doesn't turn a bike into a rat bike. The bike does that to itself.

I love a good rat-look in a bike, but only if it got there through honest wear. Better still, a bike lovingly assembled from surplus/junk parts by a dedicated rider who just wants to get rolling and isn't interested in (and doesn't have the cash for) $10k paint jobs.

But those guys who deliberately "distress" an otherwise perfectly good paint job just to get the "rat" look? Ugh. Just another version of "poverty chic". Got no use for that.
