Default Help with info on rear pulley 70T1.5

My 91 FLSTC has a worn rear pulley. It's an aftermarket billet aluminum. The front stock pulley is fine and the belt still looks good. So, I need a rear pulley. It's a 70 tooth pulley and a 1.5 inch wide belt. Can I use any 70 tooth , 1.5 inch wide pulley made for Harley? I see that the custom ones fit a wide range of bikes but, the Harley pulleys are listed for specific models. I see a lot of 70 tooth pulleys on ebay that look like they would fit.

Anything that came off an FL should work.

Thanks. There are a number of FL pulleys on ebay. Will I need to worry about spacers?

No you can't! There are at least two versions. Our bikes have a smaller central mounting hole than later ball-race wheels, although the bolt pattern is the same. So you want a pulley for tapered bearing wheels.

I ordered a stock pulley for a 90 softail. I figure that ought to fit a 91 softail. If not I'm out 45 bucks, unless I can resell it.

Painted and installed the new, ebay, used, pulley. Man what a huge difference in the ride. Unbelievable how much of a difference it has made. The 90 springer softail pulley fit like a glove on my 91 Heritage. In the future I wont ever be getting any billet pulleys for my bike(s). The aluminum was softer than the factory HD stuff and way inferior in function and design. Yea, it's pretty but, sucked in every other way. The factory pulley doesn't exactly match the flame mag wheels but, it rides so nice I don't care.

Yes, as stated they are not all the same. Yours has a 2" center hole. The sealed bearing units 2.25".

My belt snapped on Friday after 119,960 miles. So when I ordered a new belt I also found an EBay replacement pulley in excellent condition if pics are to be believed.
