Default Thoughts on a 91 electra glide?

Iam looking at a loaded 91 electra glide with 50k fully dressed, everything works ,looks, runs, and drives good what would be a good price for it and what are your thoughts on a 91 model and are there a bunch of aftermarket parts available like stretched baggs, big wheel etc..

I picked one up last spring. There's a good number of guys on this forum that have done way more than I have...Gunslinger Tom for one. Yes, there's plenty of parts available. From apes, to cables, to wheels. I have not found stretched bags but I haven't looked very hard. Because of the battery box on the right side that cuts into the bag, you aren't able to just throw a new set of side open "modern" bags on. If we were to go that route, the battery would have to be re-routed to under the seat, which there's plenty of room, and then the modern bags would probably require to be drilled in different locations to fit the mounts on the 91.

I bought mine with 55000 miles on it for $4500. It was in rough shape when I got her but she cleaned up pretty well. So I consider 4500 a pretty good price for a Classic with everything in tact (tourpak, stock radio). From what I see on CL locally, they go from 5-6500.

Buy it for what it is, rather than what you want it to be! As for 'aftermarket', these days that involves adapting parts for more recent models and can involve the need for some handiwork and workshop time to achieve the things you mention. We can guide you on many of the more ambitious changes, but there is no owners manual on doing it!

Buy it....and make it yours with bits you like or want, my suggestion is do a compression test before you buy it, other than that if anything goes wrong the resident mechanics here on the EVO forum can guide you through the repair They sure have helped me...cheers guys.

If you go any further and buy it, call in the Evo forum, as Kees suggested. Buy the factory service manual as well, if it doesn't come with one!
