What do you hook the bungees too? Did you poke holes in your pants?

Just wrap around the pant legs hook the ends together and go. I have to wear dress pants to work during the week and ride my scoot every day. Works for me.

But having 12in tops on my boots does keep my pants from blowing up, unless the wind is just right and whipping pretty hard.
The ones in the original post will work with cowboy boots, they don't have anything to do with laces. They are an elastic loop with a clip on top that you slip on the boot (or shoe for that matter) and then just clip your pants using the clip.

I just tuck my pant legs in my socks and ride on.
Those fancy clips are for wallet bikers.

What's a "wallet biker"? Someone that has so few warrants out that he feels comfortable carrying ID on his person?
