Default 1990 Low Rider Clutch Issue

Howdy, I have a 1990 Low Rider (first year of newer style wet clutch) that has been sitting for about 10 years. I have been able to get the bike running. I reset and adjust the clutch. However, when I let the bike warm up and then pull in t he clutch and put it in to first, it lurches forward and stalls. Any ideas before I start tearing it apart?
Thanks,
Brian

Did you take apart the clutch hub to make sure the plates weren't stuck together?

That would be the next thing I check, wasn't sure if it possible to actually be stuck together

Yeah, I remember on old tractors...the clutches would get bound up after sitting for years. Pull up to a big implement and work the clutch hard was the fix. That or push up against a big tree. Maybe you can adapt that logic to the bike.

They can if they sit long enough.
Sounds like yours did.

I'd try pulling the plugs and bumping the starter with the clutch pulled in.
