Thanks and as I am having Scott (Hillside) do the work, I'm sure he will automatically check those things as well, BUT will add that to the (now growing) list.

PS: I'm not big on loud LOUD pipes BUT ... I like your sig!

With just 20,000 miles, change fluids, new battery, lube cables, and ride the hell out of it.
Ken...98 evo.

Done deal, since you decided to go with Hillside.

On a side note, the EVO wasn't poorly put together (other than the base gaskets, oil return from heads design, and crappy INA bearing), it was strangled by the EPA. First mod for any EVO owner is to pull out the aluminum plug that sets the idle mixture and 'tweak' it.

An EVO benefits greatly from getting 'the air in and the exhaust out'. Changing the cam will get you a big smile. Supporting that with some other strategic mods will make that smile even bigger.

If I was going to get into my engine again (I hope not too...), it'll either be an 89" stroker kit, or a new 111" S&S in the frame. So far, my 80" is perfectly satisfactory for my style of riding. But we all want more, don't we???

Won't matter if you get rid of the stock CV carb.

The CV carb comes with an aluminum plug in it to prevent adjusting the pilot jet.
While removing the plug helps that carb replacing that carb helps your bike!!!!IMO

So here's what I did and why -

My bike had about 70-80k on it when I did the following stuff:

S&S Cylinders - Stock cylinders slipped when they were getting bored. Had to get new ones.
Ultima Digital Ignition Kit - Works like a champ - Single Fire
Wiseco 10:1's - Fits with stock valvetrain, bump in power and small bump in heat. Can crank on stock starter.
EV13 Cam - Needed more torque and less HP, rides into a 30mph wind on theway home and lots of city stop/go.
Torrington B-138 Cam bearing - drop in replacement (blind hole bearing puller is cheap from Amazon).
CVPerformance Deluxe Kit - new needle, jets all seals redone, etc. Can now adjust everything with no tools from the side of the bike.
S&S Quickee Pushrods - No longer need to take off rocker covers to pull rods for lifter work.
Rocker Lockers - Quiets valvetrain rocker noise - WORTH THE INVESTMENT AND EASY TO DO, even with the bike assembled.
Ultima Roller Rockers - Reduces side loading of valves, much quieter than stock.
Ceramic Header Coating (I had it done by a company that no longer does individual work). Easily chops 15% of your exhaust temp off, i.e. less melting clothes/shoes for you and your passenger.
S&S Reed Valve Camchest breather.
S&S Stinger Intake with larger filter - the stinger cone helps prevent low pressure reversion on the intake track.
GE NightHawk LED headlight - 7" drop in replacement, drops power req's by 2/3s. Can get it for $160 as price fluctuates through the year, keep an eye on it.
Truck-Lite 80240 LED Passing Lamps - Plenty of brightness and allows for visibility when the main headlight isn't directly on the target (a problem with most LED headlights).
LED Conversion of all bulbs - I did the math and it save something astronomical like 200W of power when you change out those old 5-15W stock bulbs with LEDs. Worth it for under $100 and saves your stator/regulator. Much faster recharging of your battery.
Did a lithium battery conversion - Bought a SSTX12Q-FP and was worth every penny - only weighs 2lbs and stock SLA charging schema only charges it to about 70%, but it's 100% volt/amp output is the ****.

Recent changes:
Fueling HP Lifters
Andrews 34t final drive pulley
Carbon fiber final belt.
BDL "closed" primary belt kit.
Hydraulic clutch conversion (This was fun. now clutch actuation is the same resistance throughout the pull, rather than the stock setup).
Fullsack True Dual Headers - Cheap and quality solution turns the stock exhaust into a true dual for a marginal price.
All ***** HP inner primary bearing - was twisting the primary and causing a leak at 80+mph with the stock bearing.
Upgrading battery wiring (to starter, and grounds) to 1AWG from the stock 4AWG.

For fun:
Buell one piece upper rocker covers.
Buell PCV Valves
2" tank lift to fit everything.

Upcoming changes:
Sealed bearing conversion for the wheels.
Ceramic coating intake/exhaust and combustion chambers in the heads

texas, can you expand on why that is a bad idea? If the bearings are sealed, wouldn't that be better? I don't have a clue, which is why I am asking.
