I have the same problem - must be International! I've even been offered a seat on a busy train in recent months - some young whippersnapper getting smart. On the other hand an elderly friend and fellow rider, no longer with us, would never admit to being old and always refused senior discounts - silly old fart!

Age, and or abundance of such is something we should all look forward to in my opinion.....because the alternative is a dirt nap. I am a young at heart 56 year old and proud of my age, I am very active, love summers and life in general. I am just past the kids in sports thing and can go (or not) to my grandchildrens (13 + 3 on way) events. So life is good!

Age, just a thing society (god bless em) uses to shove us in a (so called) politically correct pigeon hole!
I'm 60, proud of it and can still hang with 30 year old's AND give em a run for their money. Personally, if you live life according to a number, your doomed! So far as I am concerned, I'm still 25, live life like I'm 25, and will (most likely) die when I'm 25. Why? because I have no intention of curling up in a corner, pretending life is over because I'm over 40 and waiting for the end to kick me in the butt.
On the other hand, if being a "Senior Citizen" gets me a discount on something...

Cyclobenzaprine are the keys to getting things under control. Once under control, then get a membership to a place like Massage Envy. When you get a good therapist there, stick with her.
I damn near gave up riding a few years ago. The two medications changed that. The Massage Envy got me off the medication.
I go for a two hour session every three to four weeks and my therapist keeps a chart on me. It is the difference between riding and living out the remainder of my days at a nursing home.
