I attempted to go to the movies today but discovered they were closed. They were open recently so who knows. Anyway, I was walking back to my Jeep and couldn’t help but take a picture.

The SR-71 is a truly incredible vehicle.
Read about the "bug-smashers". An interesting story.

I installed a five piece insulation/ headliner in my Jeep a couple of days ago. It’s a hard top obviously. My main objective was to insulate against the extreme heat we get in the summer, with a secondary goal of improving looks. From the factory the inside of the hard top looks like the inside of a white ice chest (people call those coolers now for whatever reason).

Installation was easy and I like the way it looks. It is supposed to also quiet down the interior but my Jeep was already quiet.

What I have noticed it improved the quality of my sound system even while parked, so much so that it sounds like I upgraded some components to my already impressive system. Needless to say I am very happy with the results, although I did cut my pinky finger pretty bad on a piece of plastic during the installation.

Prot, sorry about the cut finger, but that headliner looks damn good!

And the improved audio is a nice bonus.

It’s insulated and upholstered panels that fit into the recessed areas of the hard top. I am really happy with it.

There is something else really cool that I am working on that I will post when it’s installed.

Nice and quiet here in Evo land! Like closing the door on the rest of the world and settling down into a favourite armchair.

Cheers!
Wow hard to believe we're coming up on 12 years on this thread. Thank you Graham it's one of the most relaxing, I'm making a little espresso today if anybody wants to bring some cake. The weather hasn't been too good the last couple weekends so I guess it's time to have some cake and coffee... Lol...

Close to 12 years. WOW. Thank you all for helping me with my 2 Evos. I live near DC. When you walk in the Udvar-Hazy museum the first thing you see is the record braking Blackbird. Awesome.

Aw shucks! Who could have guessed P&Q would still be going? From humble beginnings, a great thing has blossomed......!

We have family in Phoenix, although when we will next visit isn't certain yet, what with the plague and all. I'm improving steadily thanks, although the road to recovery seems to have several big pot-holes in it!
