The Keihin butterfly will work fine if it is set up right. And if it is not worn out where the throttle spindle goes through the body. If too worn there it allows air leaks that play hell.

I'm glad you got your carb figured out but I'm mystified why you resurrected a two and a half year old thread to tell us.

If you read the thread most people don't think the butterfly carb is worth messing with and should be replaced at the earliest opportunity.
