Now the carb is leaking

the overflow is for a major failure in the needle and seat. if it a very small leak it will do one of 2 things. either leak out the air bleed if the bike is sitting close to straight up. or if its leaning over far enough on the side stand it will leak out the main jet down the cylinders and into your oil.

A good flash light & cold engine look all around from both sides & see if you can see where it's coming from , Pull the tanks if you have to or use a mirror & look down from the top of carb & up from the bottom & have a helping hand shine the light from the left side a good 2A mag light works good in tight spots

I think Doug pretty much organized the list. When you cleaned it all out were you careful not to disturb the float setting tang thing? The carb really should be that much of a pain to pull off and reinstall, its just a matter of finding what works. I loose enrichener off it left side of motor braket, loosen fuel line off pet ****, loosen 2 head mounting bolt , loosen 3 A/C housing to carb screws, pull carb away from manifold, disconnect throttle cable( I only use 1) disconnect voes hose and pull carb with enrichener and fuel line hose still attached off bike.
Your not disconnecting enrichener and fuel line off the carb are you?

Thanks all, I will pull it again I think it is probablly the float needle. I just don't know where it is leaking from. The gasket is new and I checked it again and is set. The PITA for me are the cables. It seems I can never get my fingers in there. Is there anything to look for other than a pluged hole?
