Default 12mm factory 02 sensor head with 18mm thread - but factory headers have 10mm sensor ports?

Hi, I have a 2010 fatboy. I took the V&H BSS pipes off and picked up a set of "take off" factory oem pipes from a similar vintage fatboy, but the 02 sensor and the ports don't match up.....

The tip / head of my oem sensors measure 12mm thick with a thread of 18mm -- and the facrory sensor tip/head will not even fit into the port on the exhaust at all (which measures 10mm ID)..

I can't find an adaptor that increases the size of the exhaust port, only ones that reduce the size....

So, you have the wrong year pipe for that bike. Your option if you are going to keep the pipe, is to remove the current O2 bungs, and have the correct size for your bike welded on. Or buy a pipe that is made to fit your year bike. Or if you want to spend more money, plug the bungs , remove the O2 sensors and have it tuned for open loop function only.

Thanks.
that's a bummer. I don't have the money for a new exhaust and I just bought slip on mufflers to suit the factory headers....

the weld on bungs are probably $20, if you know someone who can weld, its probably a 30-60 minute job. A local muffler shop could probably do it for you too.

There are adapters for 18 mm sensors to 12 mm pipes, but I don't know how well it works since the actual sensor body will be in a separate chamber and not directly in the exhaust flow.

For instance:
