Default edlebrock performer carburetors

Does anyone have any experience with an edlebrock performer carb? I've been thinking of trying one, any info would be helpful

Welcome to the forum.
Is the carb in question the Quick Silver...if so save your money unless you want a paper weight.&nbsp\\;

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...arley+Davidson

Here is a link to the carbs.....they are the same thing as the older Quick Silver carbs and believe me they are NOT a good carb for running let alone for performance.&nbsp\\; If you do a search on Quick Silver carbs you will find that many reputable builders opinion on this set up.

The C/V&nbsp\\;is the best in my opinion, install a Dyno Jet Kit for $75.00 or get your self a 46 ~ 48 pilot jet and that should help a lot in the idle circuit.

what can i do to fix cv carb backfires through exhaust when i let off. coughs when you rev engine waiting for light to change. and seems to be cold blooded even on restarts requires full choke for at least 3 miles.

Install a Dyno Jet kit anda 46 pilot jet...get it on a dyno and tune the carb for proper AFR just like you would haveto do with any replacment carb. If yor bike is popping through the pipes and carb both I'd be looking at a valve job not a new carb. Do a compression test to factor out other problems.

took the plug out for the idle mixture, it was all the way tight, checked the slow jet it is a 46. the bike now runs better than new, what would be gained from a dyno jet kit &amp\\; which kit&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; thank you
