Angry SE Race Clutch- Updated!

So, I just had my 103" FXST re-worked. Added Baisley heads, Wood TW6G-7 cams, and a Fat Cat. Makes 100/110. Before I made these changes, I had already installed the SE High Performance Clutch Spring. This modfication couldn't hold the power. So, I went with the SE Performance Race Clutch Hub Kit (PN 37976-08) and SE Perfomance Clutch Kit (PN 37969-03A). This thing is an absolute bitch to pull. Feels like I'm trying to squeeze juice out of a brick. Anyone have experience with this? After a few hundred miles, does it "seat" in a little, or am I stuck with this for good? I'm also considering other alternatives, but I'm not experienced with any of the others....I've heard about Rivera Pro Clutches, and Barnett Scorpions also. Any guidence/ opinions would be appreciated. I also posted this in the Clutch thread, but thought I'd get valuable opions from this group too.

look into the vpc units , they are supposed to make clutch pull easier.

Have no issues with stock clutch so far, just using the SE heavy clutch spring. Why the SE race clutch, for only 100hp and 110tq,. Now that you have it, just install the EZ pull clutch lever, it will compensate for the extra clutch pressure.

this is an excellent product, had one on my 103 SG, did not put one on 107 RG --the pull gave me cramps in the hand--I totalled that bike, I have one on the way for my 09 RG with HQs 107

Simple fix, put the SE performance clutch kit 37969-03A that you bought in your stock basket with the SE spring that you also have and sell the performance clutch hub kit to someone with forearms the size of Arnold Schwarzeneggar and be happy!

i ran the stock clutch in my bike for a while. Dave at JD's installed kevlar plates and a heavy duty spring and so far no problems and clutch pull is easy. also it costs a lot less then what you have give dave a call.

Yup, that clutch is a little over kill for your build. Like SE said the Barnett Kevlar plates work very well or a VPC on a stock clutch is butter smooth and holds whatever you throw at it.

VPC is a great set up, have heard no bad comments on them. One of my buds scoots has one with the stock clutch & it feels very good!
