Default Inner cam bearings

Hello everybody!!!

This weekend I've change the stock cams of my Fat Boy 2007 for an Andrews 26H.

I've put S.E. pushrods but I couldn't change the inner bearings, cause the inner bearing remover tool that I bought was not for TC 2007-up, so when I was trying to change them I just couldn't.

So I left the original ones... but it runs good by now.

Do you think I must re-open everything and chang the inner bearings? I have the Torringtons, and the instaler tool, just have to buy the instaler one... and the gasket again...

Thanks!!!!!

You can go to Auto-Zone and rent the Blind Spot Puller and it will remove those inner bearings. All you do is put down a deposit and the rental is free on the tool.

I would take it apart and replace those bearings.........the Torrington B-168 bearings are a whole lot better then the stock cheap-o's.

Since you know how to do it and have hopefully have adjustable pushrods I would recommend doing it when you have time. All you a have to do is take it back apart and pull the bearing...and then put it back together. Might as well. How many miles on the bike?

I bought my set at a local tool store called Competitive Products, they specialize in SK, OTC, and others...

The pic of the set came from Amazon...

OTC's Distributor Finder page is http://www.otctools.com/distributors/index.php

I just googled OTC Stinger 4581 and all kinds of hits come up...

Craigs List, eBay, etc

go checkout the blind hole bearing puller from Harbor freight. works great, and only $50. looks simular to the picture above...

i have the same issue, couldn't change the inner bearings (had the tools, but was sent B-148's), and am NOT looking forward to going back in just to change some bearings.
