Why Roller Rockers?

Why Roller Rockers?
Why need roller rockers when essentially my stock 07 Twin Cam rocker is already a shaft driven roller design ? $500.00 dollars later for 4 rockers, I'm getting an added roller tip? I know with my race cars the roller tip on the rockers wasn't of much value, the roller section that mounted through the head stud or shaft was where the benefit was. I ran the TW-8-6 (.590 lift) cam with the stock rockers and everything looked great when taken apart. Now the big question, why do I need to run after market roller rockers with the TW-9F-6? Another question, will I gain anything(besides lift) by going to a 1.725 ratio rocker? Would I run them on just the Intakes or Exhausts too ?

Less friction, reduce side load on the valve stem, free HP that you don't need on a stock Twin cam as you aren't set up to make big power and high lift. Also, you don't need 1.7 rockers either for you stock set up. Leave it the way it is and enjoy riding it, as your set up can't take advantage of these mods.
