I'm thinking about getting sharkfin or fishtails for my 3.5" Rush mufflers. The bike was dyno tuned by Big Boyz after a 95" kit and street ported heads, and andrews 26 cams. Would I need to get it re-tuned if I put sharkfins or fishtail on? thanks

 

If the construction/design of the new mufflers is similar to the Rush mufflers, probably not.

If they're more EPA compliant, or more open than the Rush, probably so.

 

Thanks for the reply. I picked up some tip compatible Rush mufflers. They are just like the Rush set I have now, just with the holes to mount the tips. I'll be re-using my 2" baffles. I was concerned the restricted end might mess with the tune...more back pressure?

 

Insignificantly so, I would think.
