I noticed an ad in a poster's sig area, and thought that's kind of tacky, and probably against the rules. then a few posts down, I see an Allstate Ad in Uncle Kebo's post. That doesn't seem like him. Is the website posting ads inside of people's posts?

I understand the need for advertising on HDF. But if they are putting ads in someones posts without their permission that is wrong. It makes it look like you are endorsing the product. I doubt Uncle Kebo is an Allstate salesman.

This was when I was logged out, as it seems I need to relog in every time. That happened last year, then it stopped, and has now resumed.

I went back logged in and the ads are not there. So I guess they are only visible to guests. Weird.

 

Don't know much abt that but on my PC I have ADBLOCKPLUS. <-- This sotps POP UP ads.

Been in here only a few minutes and so far it blocked 9 ads.

A little diff from what u r saying the ADBLOCKPLUS is GREAT!!

I have Ad Blocker Plus and I never see any ads, besides the ones on the right by our sponsors.

 

I have Ad Blocker too. These weren't pop ups.
They were embedded in posts.

 

I don't have signatures turned on either. I'm not saying that his signature but it might be why I don't see it.

I also have 3 other ad blockers...1Blocker and Opera VPN and another ad blocker.

EDIT...I turned my signatures back on and I didn't see any ads in anyone's post.
