Default Steering head adj.

05 Wideglide doing the fall away test I get 1" of fall on left side and 4.5" on the right ,I loosen stem nut and get 0 on left and 3 .5 on right. Went by the service man. clutch cable removed and all electrical harness' =no binding. Seems no matter what I do it never evens out. Lost at what else to look for

Could be the head bearings are pitted. Worth considering replacing them.

10-4 am planning on that , I may just try and grease them for now and see if it cures it. Can a guy just drop them enough to grease with the needle on the grease gun.?

You can do, but there is quite a bit to do so you can. I've never tried that, on the few occasions I've serviced head bearings I've replaced them and made a clean start.

After tearing it apart today I came to the same conclusion what PITA this is getting to be . Guess Ill take it in to work and torch the bottom stem bearing off do I need to press that 1 back on also ? Manual says to cut cage and take the rollers out and heat race it will fall off, so that means the new bearing will not just slide on right.
