How many miles on brake pads?
How many mile are people getting on average on Rushmore bikes before replacing the brake pads?
I did mine when the dealer had a special last year and they now have 22,008 miles on the pads. I just measured the thickness of a new front pad and the new pads are 0.277" of which 0.140" is metal, and 0..137" is the brake material.
I then measured my used pads, and I have 0.242" and subtracting the metal of 0.140" leaves my braking material at 0.102".
So doing the math, I have 74% of the pad left. I know the wear groove is almost at the bottom of the pad, of realistically speaking, I probably have 65% to 70% safe pad material available.
I bought the new pads, but now am having second thoughts about replacing them until later. What kind of mileage on the front are other people seeing, because I think these will last me another 20,000 miles.
Please spare me the "your results may vary, depending on the type of driving you do". I just want to hear what other people are getting.

I just took my bike in for the the clutch recall with about 17k miles. The service manager told me my back brake pads should be replaced. I am confident that I could have safely put it off for another 5k miles, but that probably would have landed right in the start of riding season when I won't want to have my bike off the road; so I told him to replace them.
