Default slider tube cap

how or what do you use to get that tube cap threaded into the fork tube with the tube spring trying to push it out ? i have a soft tail deluxe and put in progressive lowing springs .

A fork cap socket upside down on the ground, fork off bike, a second set of hands for stability, push and turn

without the spacer in...see where it starts to thread and back it off 1/4 turn. I used a 35mm deep impact socket just so i could get a good grip on it. It helps if one person pushes down while the other turns...but be careful...it's easy to crossthread

Thanks for the info I'll try the socket , the tubes are mounted on the bike
