Default Money pit

Mornin, I'm riding a 2004 ultra classic that I'm getting ready to tear into, handlebars, cables, painted inner fairing, oil cooler, floorboard extensions, new grips. While it's apart I'm toying with the idea of a front fork upgrade. Any thoughts on the Progressive mono tubes versus heavier springs?

Heavier springs won't upgrade your bike, unless you are heavy. Race Tech sell springs in a range of weights and have a calculator to help you choose the correct grade. That will ensure you have suitable sag up front.

As for monotubes, use the advanced Search above and select 'titles only', you will find plenty of posts about them.

Default monotubes

I appreciate your answer. There are so many choices it's hard to make a decision without the benefit of someone else s experience. I decided on the monotubes and the 444 shocks, they are adjustable without a wrench. Got the whole front of the bike off, inner and outer fairing, handlebars, forks. Parts have been rolling in all week, my wife is really pleased, or was that pissed? Got some serious work to do.
