Fork Trees / Triple Trees

Fork Trees / Triple Trees
Hello all, brand new & my first post! Learning the system so please forgive any mistakes please.
I was recently in a wreck with my 2005 Road King. I am in the process of replacing the frame, trees, fork legs and front wheel.
My question today is about the fork trees. I have a set of fork trees for what I believe to be from a 2009 - 2013 touring model. I have an 2005. Well, I installed them yesterday and they appear to fit my 2005 frame perfectly. No issues whatsoever. They had smooth unobstructed travel from stop to stop.
Other than a few visual differences in the casting process I cannot find any real difference between the newer style and my original trees.
Also, the geometry appears to be exact...I see no difference in angle or travel.
Does anyone have experience with this and will I run into some problem before completing the assembly? I obtained these trees for free so I am attempting to use them to save $.
Thanks, Traxx.

<<< No the 2005 V/S 2009 positively have a different steering stem rake. The trail is different (see HD Specifications). I measured both on a CMM. I do not think it would make much/any noticeable difference.
The 2009 have an integrated steering stop on front of the locking plate (& triple trees) which your frame does not have. There may be a clearance issue but I did not measure for that on earlier models (pre-2009) so I do not know. Your bike should have rubber donuts that slip on down the fork tubes that act as a fork stop.
