Default Thunder Beach fall Rally 2014

We missed last years fall rally, but already have our rooms for this years rally. Looking at their website 9 days 7 hours until it starts. I though I would put our webpage of the rally when we were there, has links and some pictures and webpages of other years, the video on the page is of 2012:

Never had the chance to make it out to Thunder Beach but I got lucky and was able to get the weekend off. Can you tell me where most of the vendors will be? The info I get from the promoters doesn't really say much about where they will be.

Thanks!

Vendors set up at a lot of places. There is one big location off back beach road. I think it may be a fairgrounds.

We are headed down on the first for a couple of days.

Also here is a map which you can down load and print, I am sure they have some kind of mobile app of the event if I find it I'll post it.

Best rally there is, hands down, and I've been to the big ones from Texas to Daytona(although that might not be saying much.)

Always a good time to be had in PCB; very different from Daytona...

However, bear in mind that there are actually two motorcycle rallies going on at the same time: Thunder Beach and The Panama City Beach Motorcycle Rally. It can get confusing as you'll hear about an event like the Old School Bike Show at Miss Newby's, but you won't be able to find it listed on the Thunder Beach schedule of events... because it's a PCB Motorcycle Rally event. So, be sure to check out both rally sites / event schedules.

Thunder Beach: http://thunderbeachproductions.com/

As for vendors, they're all over the place. If there's a vendor in particular that you're looking for, be sure to go to the by-vendor-name listing to figure out where they are. Frank Brown Park has a lot of vendors, but not every vendor. You can also get vendor'd out, as all of the cheap imported crap starts to blur together after a while and with two rallies there are more "Official Rally Merchandise" tents than the mind can manage. Oh yeah, and Full Throttle Magazine has it's little mini-rally going on in it's parking lot venue across from Sharky's, aka Lucky 13's.

Thanks to everyone for the info! I found the web site and the map of the vendors was a big help! Looks like it will be a lot of fun.

Wow!! I have been there a few times, I never knew that, and there is a lot of information on the websites you gave. Question Thunder Beach is Fall and Spring, I would think PCB is during the fall rally, guess I can click on your link and find out. Never knew that thanks...

No, both rallies run at the same time in the fall and spring.

Someone once told me the story behind the two different rallies and I seem to recall that it was your typical "two guys started this thing and had a falling out, so the other guy started his own rally". They've apparently gotten past the feud and peacefully co-exist, although Thunder Beach is definitely the legacy rally, much larger in terms of the number of venues / features, and you'll see signs at their "official rally merchandise tents" urging guests to support the real rally or something like that.

The winners are the folks who come down and get to experience a two-fer-one rally without really knowing it. Again, it only gets confusing when you try to find an event that's part of one rally on the other rally's "programs" sitting around in bars or the websites.

Frankly, one of the best things to do at PCB is to get out of town and head out the 30 minutes or so to The Outpost for Bikers where they have cover bands and cheap beer and, well, people who like to ride motorcycles more than they like to hang out in resorts.

It's all good; you just gotta figure out how to spend your time. The last place you'll find us is stuck in traffic on Front Beach or Thomas Drive!! We dive down the back streets and do our best to avoid being stuck in the parade by heading over to Mexico Beach, up to Brighton Beach and out to the aforementioned Outpost for Bikers.
