I got 13,500 miles in this year before a bad driver took out one bike, and then old man winter too out the season for the other. Both bikes are in the shop now getting ready for spring.

Since there will undoubtedly be others that will post this same thread over the next couple of weeks, I'll just copy and paste my answers as the threads pop up.

Mileage doesn't tell the whole story. Urban stop-and-go riding is completely different than those who live in rural areas.

It's simple math really. One hour on the slab one can go 70 miles easily. In the city, that same hour can be 25 miles or less.

So, 1000 miles of urban riding is completely different than 1000 miles of riding on the highway.

75% of my riding is urban stop-and-go riding and still manage[d] over 7,500 [this] year.

As far as seat time? I'm probably on my bike as long as many who put on twice as many miles. I'm just sitting in traffic while you rural guys get to keep on moving.

Well, I'm right around 11,000 on the 2014 that I bought in May. Prior to that, I would guess around 3,000 on the 2011 due to weather and my torn rotator cuff.
