Since I've seen a couple of threads on work boots, I was just wondering where you guys are buying them from. I have been buying mine from the sportsman's guide for 15 years now. Was looking for a new place to look for them.

I buy mine from a local store that specialize's in work clothes for construction and mining , I may pay more but the guy who owns the store knows his customers by name and will replace or repair any thing you buy from him . I believe in supporting local buisness .

 

I bought my work boots from BigFive store... Wolverines... they are pretty f'n messed up from stepping on hot plasma cut steel/iron and cut on the toe a billzillion times from holding metal (bulky crap) up with the toe of my boot. But why are we talking about work boots? I personally don't consider work boots to be good riding boots, specially ones with a steel toe. The riding boots I have a styrene toe guard and it doesn't conduct cold.

Oh I suggest a local boot shop to buy work boots at. Choice and a good selection is always a plus. Besides you can find some rather lightweight boots there, that make them 12 hour shifts go by quicker!!

Great post. Too bad more people don't think this way. I work for a company that sells tolocally owned business and mom & pop storesand they can't compete with ebay and the internet on prices but service is where most can excell.
