Is it worh switching to S&S carb

it is a stock 88ci i was told it is better over 1oo ci
is your motor stock? if it is the s&s carb can be a bit much. fantastic performance carb, can be a little funky on cold start, defiantly a carb that you can build into. there are options for your carb, dynojet I think has a performance kit for the kehein carb. You don't want to do a whole lot more without upgrading other area's as well, you will just wind up using more fuel, and even losing HP. do some more research, before making any impulse changes

I sent my carb from my 99 Heritage to Woods. They do the cams and stuff which I also added to the Heritage. He'll set the stock carb up according to how the bike is built. It ran so well that I'd have a difficult time not using him again for another bike with a carb. You might give them a call and get their pro advice.

Mikuni is the way to go . You won't have to worry about walking away from your bike . And coming back to a puddle of gas under your bike and or a empty gas tank like you wll with the S&S.

I agree that the Mikuni is a far superior carb over an S&S, but the S&S is a nice simple carb and works pretty well.
As far as the puddle of gas under the bike....Try turning off the gas!
I have the Mikuni, but the S&S teardrop air cleaner is still the coolest air filter out there.

Done 3 100+HP Harley motors, all with CV's. Smooth running, no fin grinding or adapters, no aftermarket parts. Couldn't fault them; unless molested they ran great.
Two different shops gave me the hard sell on Mikuni and S&S, but wouldn't guarantee a HP difference on the dyno worth paying for.
I hear butt dyno's tend to feel an improvement, especially after spending hundreds of $$$
