[/align]I have fuel injected 2006 Harley Street Bob.

[/align]I have fitted Screamin Eagle II pipes and Stage 1 kit, and had it remapped by Harley.

[/align]To fit the newair filter partsetc. I had to remove the back of the original air filter, which entailed disconnecting what looks like a sensor mounted in the OEplastic filter mount.

[/align]Will leaving this part (air filter/manifold sensor?)disconnected from the fuel injection system affect anything, as there was no mention of this in the stage1 fitting instructions? Or do I need to refit the sensor somehow?

I am working on putting my stage 1 air cleaner on now, and noticed the same 02 sensor looking thing. I don't know what to do with it. Is it supposed to just hang there?

 

Just to give everyone an idea of what 02 sensor thingy in question, I have attached a picture with a white arrow pointing to it:

OK, I called the dealer and found the answer. I can tell by the traffic on this thread alot of people care..... "sarcasm"

It's for people in California. That thing connects to something there. Everywhere else, it's nothing. Just zip tie that thing up and out of the way. I just grabbed the twist tie off the bread and tied it up.
