I don't have the time or energy to tell you about all the BS I went through with J&S. Suffice it to say they were unbelievably rude and completely unhelpful. I rue the day I chose them over other, quality jacks.
Buyer beware. Don't buy from these people. |
I have the Sears version of the Harbor Freight aluminum MC lift and it looks like money, but it wont spin 360* like a MC lift should. But it does everything else well.
There are no one perfect MC lift out there. And you don’t always get what you pay for |
I'd considered buying one but not after this thread. Maybe they need to get on Sharktank.

Anoynody know a direct replacement for it? I don’t want to drill it if I don’t have to.
I just want a foot pump like it has, I don’t need air. |
My J&S bottle jack is not broken. What am I doing wrong? ;)

My bottle went out less than a year after I bought the jack in 2008. They overnighted one to me. It still works. I now have a J&S trike jack and it works great.

I wouldn't buy a J&S jack even if they didn't have a reputation for bad bottle jacks. I certainly wouldn't buy one with the reputation they do have. There are plenty of other options out there that get the job done just fine for way less. Here is just one example...
Titan MPJ-1500 https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...bc59e6f354.png https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...1a6aac2e1f.png I've had that jack now for 5 or 6 years. Never had a problem with it. Works well with both my Heritage and my Nightster. No complaints. It cost me less than half what a J&S cost. |
What could possibly go wrong with a bottle o' Jack?
Huh? Oh. Nevermind. |
