I'd ask them why they can't engineer a better compensator and, why the motor makes so much noise? And, although I ride a Softail, why can't they make a frame that's not prone to wobble?

My biggest grip is when they went to a non-modular design for the touring bikes. On the older FLH, you could remove the fairing or bags if you didn't want 'em on. Can't do that now.

Behind every engineer there's a mechanic ready to fix his ****.

Spent all my adult life being that mechanic in one form or another, you want to wring some necks hunt down the bean counters they are the one that take a working design and trash it with cheaper parts and assembly processes.

No major beefs, but would be interesting:
- reduce top end noise without impacting performance or reliability.
- why don't they clearcoat bare aluminum like the wheels and fork sliders?
- easier to service oil filter without making a Bigga messa
- compensator
- primary chain adjuster

Hello guys, my two cents' worth from across the Pond...

1. Why on earth do you still need a chain drive primary ? Why not a gear driven primary ? Why ditch the Sturgis-style belt primary ?
2. Why on earth must the primary need its own oil ? Why can't it share the oil with the gearbox ?
3. Why, after 30 years, is the belt drive still on the wrong side of things ?
4. Why can they not figure out that saddlebag supports MUST span out as much as the rear shocks ?
5. Why can they not figure out that you cannot fit rear indicators where you obviously want the bags to be - relocate them close to the taillight from the beginning !
6. Why must rear shocks be built in such a way that you cannot figure out the load setting on the springs, unless you lie down and look up ?
7. Tank-mounted instrumentation: what's this with the tachometer between your ********* ?
8. Why can't HD Engineers figure out a way to eke out decent horsepower from an air-cooled V-twin the way Guzzi and BMW have been doing for the last 40 years ?
9. Why can't HD Engineers figure out a way to eke out decent frames for air-cooled V-twin the way Guzzi and BMW have been doing for the last 40 years ?
10. Why can't HD Engineers figure out a way to produce a safer braking system the way Guzzi have been doing for the last 40 years, and BMW since 2004 ? (I mean an integral braking system, right hand operates both wheels, foot brakes rear wheel only)

'nuff ?
