I.....they are into gadgets big time! The way Harley riders check outchrome and pipes is the way they check out the latest GPS and MP3 mounted in their cockpit. But hey they're happy, and that's all that matters.

Not yet, you don't have the coffee cup holder and the cappuccino machine.

I once heard that a Goldwing is more a scientific solution to a set of transportion problems than a motorcycle

Actually, it's a great motorcycle if it's what you want. It's fast, quick, and very comfortable. I put over 75,000 miles onthe 1500 Wing below and it ran flawlessly for six years before I sold it. Never having had a Harley and probably buying my last new bike, plus the fact that I didn't and still don't care for the 1800 Wing's styling, I went with an Ultra in 01. I like the Harley better then the Wing, although it isn't as quick or as smooth. Still, both my wife and I find theUltra more comfortable and feel we're part of the bike rather then on top of it. Bottom line is that it really doesn't matter what you ride ... it's all the same wind. FWIW, here's the 1500 I had. Sweet bike.

my brother-in-law is riding up to visit on his Gold Wing Trike. Told him that he would either have to come after dark or loosen up his slip-on clamps and trail some oil behind him. My neighborhood has standards you know!

The wing is a good bike. In fact, it's too good and I think that's the problem, it does everything so well you get bored. I've got an 06 Honda ST1300, I love the bike, especially on back roads, but the fact that it's so smooth(and quiet) can get dull sometimes...........my Road King on the other hand, never lets you forget you're on a motorcycle

As for the "Wingnuts".....them boys take their bikes real seriously.
