Default Sportster fuel management

Hi all,

I know there are loads of threads about this subject but looking for a more solid answer.

I have a 2015 XL1200X forty-eight and have installed a homemade straight through sysytem with no baffles and a hi-flow air cleaner. Not planning any other mods.

Not looking for any power gains, just want the noise because the standard system is sooo quite but want the bike to run properly with no flat spots etc and not have a check engine light on and dont want to damage the engine from running too lean. I do a mixture of in town and highway riding and live in not so sunny Scotland.

What do you think the best fuel management sytem would be for this setup?

XL-AF-IED14's would be my first choice as i dont particularly want to spend big bucks. Would these be sufficient for the straight through exhaust and A/C change or would i be better spending the cash and getting something like the Cobra Powrpro Black auto tuner which i understand tunes the bike to whatever mods you have regardless if they are V&H or SE etc.
The FP3 seems to only be tunable if you have V&H products installed.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

IED's are the minimum you need to make it run right. Upgrading to a full flash tuner would make it run a bit better, but you'll be fine with the IED's. When I upgraded from IED's to tuner I noticed that the acceleration seemed smoother and the decel pops went away, but it wasn't anything major. IED's will work for you on a budget.
