Mine have quick release buckles. There are also button snaps front and rear but I see no need to use those, and they are hard to snap. I've looked back there at freeway speeds and those lids aren't moving as long as I remember to buckle them. When I don't they usually jump up slap me on the back!
Someone has a serious man boob issue I see

I used to use cable lube on the snaps to keep them working on some old ones I had. I know people who got them snapped and then pulled the snaps out trying to unsnap them.

You might try wetting the top and pulling it until you can get the snap snapped. Let it dry in place and then treat the bags with a lot of Lexol or other liquid leather treater. When leather is weat you can often get it to stretch quite a bit if you word with it.

Bill
ditto on that. my bags got wet and were not snaped, then they dried and were not snapping also, so thats what i did and it worked great, you might have to get them real wet to strecth them it they are real bad. worked great. jackyl

Also if you leave them out in the sun to warm them up, the leather will be easier to move and stretch. Then treat the leather with what ever you use. Might have to do it more than once.

I too got sick and tired of forcefully snapping my wife's bags. Now after much bag snapping calloused fingertips, I just don't let her wear a bra anymore.

Damn, you can buy them bags on e-bay now. there ain't much you can't get there...kidneys, spare eyes, previously owned gallstones, used toe nails. don't know if the wife would let me show her bags on the internet, since they are starting to sag and can't afford a support.
