Michelin, Metzeler, Pirelli, Dunlop - Most important factor ...
#21
I've seen some good stuff written about Dunlop Amercian Elites and Elite 3's. Elite 4's are replacing the 3's. Nice looking tire each, and based on what I've read, good all around performers.
On the superficial front... Both have nice looking lettering with good size. The 4's look easier to paint. Definitely a new/sporty looking tread pattern on each (not sure if that's a plus or a minus from an aesthetic point of view).
Based on my "Most important factor" criteria, I think my list would be composed of the Pirelli MT66, Dunlop AE, Dunlop E4's, or Michelin Scorchers (in no particular order).

Seen a few more Scorchers... This time fully from the sides...
I don't know... But from this aspect, they don't seem to have to same pop.
Found this picture of Avon Cobra's...
They look decent there.
But as seen here...
meh...
Came across more photo's of the MT66's...
From that aspect... Intersting. They look pretty good on that Sporty.
Came across some other large lettered tires...
Maybe on the right bike... Interesting. I guess.

Didn't that have to do with lots from Brazil? Thought I read that somewhere.
Doesn't matter though. The 880's are being phased out. Can't get the front in the right size anymore.
Now the ME888 are another story. Haven't seen similar stories about them. Seems that are like any other with their fan base and detractors.
Lettering looks... meh? "Metzeler looks about the same as the ME880's. But the "Marathon" is smaller and the additional "Ultra" makes the set of characters almost too long/wide. ???
Now these Pirelli's...
... have decent sized lettering. But the name "Night Dragon"... Umm...Just on that side of corny. Then again, could just paint the "Pirelli" brand name and that's it. Would prefer though to have something on both sides for symmetry.
Then there are the MT66's...
Those letters are ... shall we say... Yuge...
Sometimes I look at them and they look cool. Other times they strike me as over the top.
