The season is about over .but today I had to sneak in a quicky. Finding patches of slush covered road helped me realize it's time to switch to the Jeep.

I'm at 25,119 miles for the season. 3600 of that was on the Night Rod.

Stopped for fuel yesterday at the truck stop off 39 on the way to Milwaukee. Temp was 39deg with fairly strong wind. I always look for your black Dodge, just to say Hey.

What is that huge new construction near 88 and 39?

Other than the road construction on 88, there is a new cold storage building going up, it's all automated. There is a new Loves Travel Plaza going up at 88 and 251 as well.

Default Season over.

It was 32° and sunny today. There was also no wind, so I figured it was time to wash the bike and call it a season. 😓

All washed, waxed and ready for a nap.

Waiting for the dealership to come and get it.

That's just sad. I'm hoping for the predicted El Nino winter (warmer and drier in the Pacific NW) to ride a little bit in the next 3 months ...

Yep, it is sad. I'll have to go to the range more often, to get my therapy. The roads have too much salt and liquid antifreeze on them, so it was time to call it. On the plus side, if it snows alot, I've always got the Jeep.

We got some rain, which cleaned the roads. Today's temps were in the 40's, so I took a ride along the Rock River, from Rockford to Dixon.

If we get the winter storm they are predicting, this will have been the last ride of 2018.

Three months without wind therapy is going to suck.
