I had heard they where coming out with 50 new models but acording to this artical which quoted Bill Davidson they are comin g out with a 100 new models in the next decade.
"The company will continue investing in and building gasoline-powered two-wheelers. In fact, its product plan calls for the launch of no less than 100 new models in the next decade."

I wonder if they will be new models, or just revamped old models, like the Road King S. The Road King S looks like a redone Road king Custom, to me. Maybe Harley will put some bells & whistles on a Dyna Street Bob with a two up seat, and call it a Street Bob S

Electric motorbikes have one big disadvantage, just as electric cars. They are not allowed to pull more than 100 kgs of trailer with a 100 kms long extension cord. Because that is approximately the operational range on a full battery. And one thing: I refuse seriously to load every hour my bike for 2.5 hours before I can ride further. Nice in small towns but even in a bigger city the action range is already too small for communting. What I can imagen is, that a hybride motorbike will be developed. Much more succesfull and much more future than electric bikes only.

I am not an electric anything on wheels guy. However there is a market for these and several brands already. There are lots of city folks that want them for commute bikes. I know a guy down in Charlotte that has one. I cannot remember the brand. He can go about a 100 miles on a charge and it tops out around 80mph.
Spoke to an HD dealer a few years back when they introduced it at a dealer meeting. He rode it and said it actually impressed him.
Anything to keep HD in business and profitable.
Ride the Charge!
