Same here. I just wish I'd worn ear plugs before I got tinnitus. What's great about the plugs is that you can actually hear things better when you don't have to fight the wind noise.

Yep ear plugs here too for the wind. My hearing is already diminished but want to keep what I have left.

Talking

I have tinnitus since 15 years as a result of a continuing exposure to loud noise. First as military arms instructor as a conscript and later on as a ships engineer in the engine room. Though I use ear protection during my riding although I am already a little bit deaf. I was already a little bit deaf from childhood but that was occasionally and depending of the situation and who was forbidding me..And still I am..

5-10 minute short Ride no, longer than that I either have my 3/4 Shoei on or earplugs with my shorty, like today, riding to Myrtle beach.
I feel less tired when I wear them at the end of the day, weird.

After I started wearing ear plugs I couldn't tell if my loud pipes were scaring women and children. Now I have louder pipes and have no problem making that distinction with my molded plugs in my ears.

Too late for me to prevent tinnitus, but I always wear ear plugs on bike for the wind noise. I like the plastic ear plugs from drug store meant for swimmers.

I have the same tinnitus/high frequency hearing loss as most of you. Been that way for 25 years.

This is going to sound like a plug for my helmet,, nonetheless, my helmet seals around the sides of my face and ears quite securely reducing noise from my loud pipes, wind, etc. to the point where I'm comfortable hearing what I hear. I credit the Bell Rogue's semi-soft lower portion for allowing the snug comfy fit.

"Yes, yes, I know the muzzle isn't for impact protection".

I'm 27 years old. I've seen my dad's hearing worsen over the years (hearing aids by age 50) and I want to do everything I can to preserve my own. I wear hearing protection when I mow, weed eat, ride a motorcycle, go to a concert, etc... Doesn't matter entirely how loud things are, length and consistency of exposure do damage too.

I recently got custom molded ear plugs for $200. Well worth it - much more comfortable and protective. No more foam throw-aways.
