As others have said, with the added passenger weight, remember to increase your stopping distance.
For smooth stops with a passenger, I do the majority of stopping with the front brake, then use rear brake for final stopping. This eliminates the last second front end dive you might experience when coming to a complete stop with the front brake.

Yes in crease the shock spring tension .on your trip if the suspension "bottoms " the shocks reaches the end of travel . Then increase the pre load 1 turn . Keep doing this till the shocks don't bottom for 95% of the trip . When solo readjust you shock pre load
