Irrational fear? It's holding me back...
#22
A little off the subject, I'm thinking of picking up a new Heritage but I just don't want leather saddlebags again. So, how much did it cost to change out the leather saddlebags with hard ones and who and what did the paint job cost? Could you show a pic of your bike? Thanks.
To everyone else, thanks for the words of advice and encouragement. Looks like my next step is to just lay the bike over and see how well the crash bars protect it and then get to pushing my limits.

Ahhhhh come on. Don't intentionally dump it, you're setting your limit pretty damn low doing this. Look through the turns and stop watching the front wheel. Look where you want to go and let the bike do its thing. Once you see how well it works, you'll continue to do this and the slow speed stuff becomes much less of a hang up.

The best way that I found to over come fear when riding a motorcycle is to practice over and over until either the fear goes away or you find out that maybe the bike you picked to ride isn't for you. Not all bikes handle the same and not all are meant to ride a motorcycle.
