According to the HP, these are going to be sold at H-D dealers across the country, as a limited edition items. Now I loved Appetite for Destruction, and I have to admit I'm curious as to what Axl, Slash, and Duff will sound like after all these years. Anyone going to these shows? I'd also recommend fans check out Duff's book, It's So Easy... And Other Lies. Great read about the early days of the band. |

Cool idea but not very timely. There's lots of youtube footage of current concerts. Sounds good but I'm not convinced that it's not without assistance.
I've heard several interviews with Duff. He's quite the business man and was very smart. Invested in Starbucks on the ground floor. |
Who cares? GNR will self implode sometime in the near future because of Axles ego. You won't see me wearing one of those.

They are calling it a reunion but it is only 3/5 of the original lineup. Neither the drummer nir rhythm guitar player is from the original lineup or even the illusions lineup.
Since they say this is limited edition, I am interpreting that as meaning $$$$$ Cool idea I guess but I will pass. |
I saw them last August, and they were incredible.

I will just hold on to the good memories of their past and still listed to their music. Don't need to see them in concert or buy that shirt. Thanks for sharing anyways for the ones that might be interested.

Been to see some of the old groups....
Some are :icon_headbang: some are  (most are not worth the cost of admission) Memories are great, try not to trash them. I told my wife " go out a buy all there albums (for less than the tickets would cost) and preserve the memories of what ever group it is". This statement is not pointed any one group, just in general. Actually I started pulling up Youtube videos of some of the groups coming and checking out there latest.... helps weed out the stuff you want to remember... Everyone has an opinion, please take mine with a grain of salt :icon_mrgreen: |
GRWD has it - seeing the old bands is a mixed bag.
I saw Boston twice with Brad Delp. Two of the best concerts I've been to. Sad what happened. Now Boston songs are tainted and I turn the channel. And they don't have hardly any stinkers. Styx on the other hand - great band but live did nothing for me. It was like one big Karaoke act of themselves. Without Dennis De Young it also blew chunks. One of the best bands I ever saw as a "reunion" was the mostly original lineup of Foreigner with Lou Gramm singing. They absolutely powered through their songs and blew me away. One of the most extreme cases is Mr. Willie Nelson. I adore Willie and he really is a genius beyond just being some country personality. When I first saw him he was still able to work the crowd but as he continued to get older, he literally didn't have the time or breath to sing the songs - so he goes from one song to the next without pause for applause and talks his way through many songs. It's rough to see the decline of a legend but he's still working it - gotta respect that. But you have to consider how you want to remember these bands. Nowadays - I try to look forward, not back. |
