Dyna's will not go up in value anytime soon. The FXR's have gone up, but there's not nearly as many out there as the current Dyna platform. Plus, there's a good chance that the new Softail line is so much better, that buyers would rather purchase now or wait for the first batch of used one's to appear on the market, totally bypassing the Dyna.
When I'm too old to ride, I will drain the oil out of my '07 FXD and park it in the house before I sell it.

I just bought a really cherry '98 FLHR for $5500. I can't wait.
I also just bought a really cherry 2013 FLHRGU for $10,800.
I recently sold my really cherry 2001 Dyna Low Rider for $5000 that I had paid $6000 for from the original owner last year.
I also recently sold my really cherry 2013 FLHR AE for $15,000.
I recently sold my really cherry 1979 Triumph Bonneville for $3,800.
I also recently sold my not exactly really cherry 1983 Suzuki GS1100E for $2,800.
What else did I sell? Hmmm. Oh, yes, I remember, I recently sold my not exactly really cherry 1996 Honda F3 for $2,500. I don't think the guy was too happy though.
