Ole Don talked me in to a new shifter on my perfectly shifting 97 dresser.says it's gonna break and ruin my trans.i agree to let him replace shifter,and do rebuild with new bearings and seals for about 1000.00.....well they stole my primary ,derby,inspection covers,(replaced with aftermarket crap)....leaked from primary drain and main seal from start,said he call when he had time to fix it,never happened.i changed fluid,it had shinny metal in fluid,he said was normal break in,ride it......i did then lost 5th gear,he says ride it in 4th,see if that's good.i drain fluid again and it's really full of shinny metal.....now he won't take calls.return calls.text or emails.I take it to another shop and I'm told only a couple bearings were changed,and one wasn't set correctly...something moved wiped out all bearings and seals......now I'm out another 500.00 for another trans rebuild.H&D still has my primary cover and my 1000.00.....Id suggest staying far far away.....i will say they also did a top end ,I've had no problems with that.......of course at this point I'm not even sure he did top end.

troll? i'm not thinking so. more likely a disgruntled consumer who is taking every avenue available to him to let everybody and their brother know that he had a less than stellar experience. you know the old adage, if you're happy you tell 5 people, but unhappy and you tell 100. but will we ever hear back from him? I dunno. but i'll wager that someone in his neck of the woods will appreciate the heads up on the shop.
