Only if you are cool to start with.

If you are a douche to start with, you'll just be a douche on a Harley....

I am still a little unclear about why it was cool then and not 15-20 years later. I undertsand there are more people on H-D's now, but there are more people in general as the population in any given area of the US is greater. I also never understood the "wallet biker" hate. The Harley Davidson costs good money even used. I personally never wanted to ride a Honda street bike, so my first street bike was a Sportster. It wasn't cheap. Anyway Im rambling again, I areadyy ascertained that I am too old to be cool, I wonder when that happened? I suppose I could start another thread " How old is too old to be cool?" Just kidding lOL!
It's so much about the when or what bikes it's like anything else that gets severely overdone it becomes oh so boringly mediocre, hard to be a stand out or the loner when everybody is doing it, that's what the harley image is today. Can't throw a dead cat out here and not hit a harley as it bounces off another one, usually a street or road glide. I've watched the dynamic change over several decades you can't buy cool today like they tried to years back, those days are long gone.

I don't know....

I think it does not matter what you ride, drive, dress or who you hang out with or screw, it's the person and nothing else.

Period.

Let me get this straight.

I spend upwards of 35 grand on a couple of Harleys, another couple grand on tattoos, then there was the boob job for the wife, her entire new wardrobe and her tattoos and now you're saying I'm not cool?

Well f-it then, I'm out.

I wonder if your buddy was the guy I met at a party back in the early '90's. With his brand new Heritage, he was giving me a ration of crap for riding rice. A while later when he mellowed out a bit I asked him if he was going to Sturgis that year. "What's that?" he said.

And no, I don't care what the punks at work tell me, 1992 WAS NOT 25 years ago.
