Leather Jacket Worth
#11
I think that there has to be something very unique for leathers to be worth a whole lot. I still have my Hein Gericke AMF HD jacket that I bought in either 79 or 80 and this post led me to check out ebay. Sure enough a couple just like it for from 100 to 400 asking prices. I noted that a couple had made in Korea label and size label and mine has neither and I didn't remove them. It seems to be made a lot better than my 2002 or so FXRG. I think I paid a 100 for it at Long Beach Harley-my first leather-and the FXRG was 650 I think--half the pull tabs came off the first yr. Still has a couple but I have replaced most with split rings. Need to do one today as another came off yesterday. Terrible design but removable liner is great. Both will probably end up in a yard sale someday with a 5 buck tag on them. I hope the buyer uses them-probably not -just resale.

When you’re sliding down the highway, if the jacket is on your back, it’s priceless. If it’s hanging in your closet, it’s worthless.
Seriously, though, you’d probably be able to get a better answer if you could research it a little more, look for more info about on the jacket. HD has made a gazillion different types of jackets over the years - I agree that EBay would be a good starting point.

Fred Deeley Imports and Fred Deeley owned a HD dealership in Canada http://www.cyclecanadaweb.com/articles/29093/ .
That's all I could find.
