way to rain on op's parade.
but whether or not your bike has better numbers, is faster, etc. is not really the point. the point is that the op has a new bike, and is very happy with it. i'm sure that he didn't really go for 'the biggest numbers' that he could, and apparently is quite happy with the performance that he is getting.

I am really used to forward controls - the sport glide has a much narrower primary so planting feet straight below me at stand still is easy and stable for a short guy like me.

I rode for 30 years and stopped riding in 1998...Well I just bought the SportGlide, liking it so far with 250 miles. I contacted Vance&Hines and they said their Pro Pipe will be available in June for our bikes. I'm also considering their Fuelpak fp3 tuner. I'm not looking for outrageous performance just a louder muffler and a better air intake.
Thanks for your posts, not much info about this bike.

you betcha
IMO - yes, but, since I am not a wild man it's more of a fun thing for me. I do put it through it's paces every day, light to light, the grunt is GOOD. I don't do long hauls on the freeway so most of my speeds are <65mph. I have owned several big bikes at 1800cc or greater and the weight to power ratio on the sportglide with the SE Stage IV 114 is phenom. Reference - for fun I went up against a factory 114 breakout and the SE Stage IV 114 kicked it's butt, what he didn't know was I have a Rekluse clutch so I came off the line without clutch pull slide.
