Don't Mean Nothing.

Don't Mean Nothing.
A little ride today. Pulled up to gas pump. Some little crotch rocket at pump. Nothing exotic. Pulled up on other side of pump. Young black man came walking out. A teenager . Maybe a little older. Baggy pants, back pack, tennis shoes, sneakers, athletic shoes, whatever they are called these days. Full face helmet with that push broom thing on the top of it. Here I am. A old white guy with a do-rag, denim pants, shirt ,boots on a full dress Harley. Our eyes meet.
I nodded waved. As he did. We both acknowledged though different brands of motorcycles ,cultures, races. The fun, excitement, danger of riding two wheels.
Just though one glance.
Later on the ride home. I jumped on the interstate behind a three wheeler. Rode drag for him till my exit. Got up next to him on way off. He was on a Gold Wing. OMG. I guess what I am trying to get across is it don't matter what you ride as long as you ride. God Bless.

I’ve finally come to realize what the OP is saying. I was hard core Harley for longer than many here have been sucking air.
Only in the last few years have I lightened up and started to see the big picture, if you will.
I read many many posts in this and other forums that echo the closed minded ideas that I had for so long and it makes me feel ashamed of what I was, but proud of what I am. I now understand that I am not defined by what I ride but by the fact that I do ride.
Anybody has a problem with that, I guess it’s their problem cause as far as I’m concerned,”It don’t mean nuthin”.

Old...I get it and I'm the same way. I'll talk to anyone who talks to me.
Like today, I went for a ride and stopped at a Target and an "older than me" man rolled up on an electric store wheelchair. He said his wife was inside and he was waiting for her. He talked about bikes and how he put a trike conversion on his. He said it was a Honda and how he had 3 bikes in all. He did say his son had a Harley but wasn't sure which one.
Whether he had all of those, I don't know or care. He was a nice man and I enjoyed talking to him.
On a side note that I've said before, I wave at the rider and not what they're riding.

I saw that post, and it really stuck with me. I feel the same way; I'm waving at a fellow rider, and that's all that matters.
