I must be slow today...I don't get this.... I've taped nuts and/or bolts to keep them in place when it's hard to get two hands in a tight spot. But I've never taped a nut to my finger..

 

When you can't get two fingers in a tight spot to hold the nut until you get the bolt started. Never done that but have put tape on one side of a box end to keep the nut in place while I tried to start the bolt.

 

He had to stick his finger, with the nut, in that bigger hole and lock down the bolt going into the other hole.

 

Let's not forget the lock tight.

 

Teaching moment!
Never put your finger where you wouldn't put your pecker.

Love that idea, usually put electric tape on wrench box end but sometimes hard to get the right angle.
