Ever get tired of getting complimented on your bike?
#92
Happens all the time but when a woman, with kids at that, has to stop, roll down passenger side window just to make a compliment and ask about what exhaust is on your bike, really??? Not being uppity or anything and used to it but this one caught me off guard. Was just getting off my new bike going into a Waffle House when this happened. Breakfast is here. Good day to all. Just weird...

nope. I get a kick out of it.
I can't help but laugh though when I get the occasional "Nice Road King" or "I really like that Denim paint". Apparently, the hard bags on my softail confuse a lot of folks and the primer black... well, if it's not shiny, folks assume it's "denim" these days.

Know what the difference is between " denim " and primer ?
About $4000.....

Also, no.
An important part of the meaning of life.
So. . . . . what year is that 57?
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Just got back from a little ride, beautiful “winter” weather here in SoCal. I was sitting at a light, in my peripheral vision I noticed a guy to my right. I thought I heard him say something, so I turned, lifted up my face shield and said “What was that, young man”? (He was probably 80). He smiled and stated “That sure is a nice Harley, love the color”. I smiled at him and replied “Thank you, this one was part of my divorce therapy!”, he smiled a huge smile and gave me a big thumbs up. I told him to have a good day and clutched away, with an equally big smile on my face. That’s what humans do (at least in my world) make each other smile. Having someone comment on my Harley (or any of my vehicles) makes me smile very time. Little kid, old guy, hot chick, I don’t care, elicits a smile without fail. So I can only reiterate the comment/reply of ChickinOnaChain: No.

Best compliments are when kids point or wave (cause I always checked out bikes and waved at bikers as a kid). I was stopped next to a school bus full of elementary kids this past fall who were waving and yelling...when the light turned green, I waved and opened up the throttle, the kids went crazy
