Changing Your Badges
#33
I wasn't a fan of the stock RK badges on my 2011 so I went without any for a while....still no "roadking" script on the front fender. I went with OEM soft tail badges because it was the least objectionable given the period correct choices. I wasn't going to mount some badge from the 50's on my modern bike that would scream wannbe.
Ooooops I see others have done just that with the old badges lol. Sorry, no offence just not my thing.

The way I see it, tank badges (including decals, painted or raised) are an opportunity to identify and decorate a machine. Some are rather so-so, and some are very classic. Some are beautiful and artistic even. In the end it comes down to being your ride and your eyes to please. For some reason, my eyes typically gravitate toward the badges when I walk past someone's bike.
Lots of beautiful examples here. And I will add a philosophical thought: A beautiful woman is always beautiful, with or without jewelry. Badge-less bikes are no less sweet to the eye.
New badges going on my bike later today.

I like the one on my ‘17 Road King, But the one on my ‘12 TriGlide...not so much.
Edit:IMHO...they are both better than my birth year “1954”. But the 50th anniversary “1954” fender badge was cool.

1954 50th Anniversary fender badge:
