How old is the bike? Still uinder waranty. If so then you take it back to HD, show them and have them redo. Definitedly no way to get rid of it unbless you strip and repaint.

Just got done doing mine it were the seat rubs up agains the tank. Used a #7 compound cleaner wax comes right out no problems at all plus my tank is pearl white. Came out great plus a spray down a little Harley cleaner looks new.

Oh no doubt ... A good polish then waxing will definitely rejuvenate a finish ... But polishing his ain't gonna do a thing but make the stain under the clear look shiny.
