Default What jack do I need?

Hey guys, I have a J & S jack that has served me well for 10 years. But I am looking for a small jack like you place under your bike when using a lift. Not sure what they are called. Something that is strong, sturdy, compact and lifts the bike a few inches or so.

I don’t have a lift yet, but will be removing the rear shocks soon and don’t want to use the J & S for that. Will be placing the jack directly on the floor under the bike.

Thanks!

Not enough clearance to fit a bottle jack under a tourer; plus it wouldn’t be very stable.

This may be too high (12" at lowest) but may be worth a look: https://www.redlinestands.com/catalo...e-dolly-p-1248

I placed an order on J&S Jacks’ website this morning and notice they have a coupon for 10% off plus shipping included to US. The coupon expires today, 3/18. Not associated with these folks, just need to upgrade from a homemade jack built over 25 years ago.

You should have a bottle jack and a scissor jack. If you only have one, then you're one jack off.
